Thank you for taking the time to get to know more about me. I was born and raised in Brantford, Ontario and I have many interests and hobbies.
Sports are something that I have always enjoyed doing during my elementary and high school days. I also love watching sports. I will watch ANY sport from curling to golf to MMA to boxing to basketball. Which sport do I like the most you ask?
Basketball because of the amount of teamwork involved in the game, the speed and of course the highlight reel plays.
Baseball because I have an unhealthy obsession with looking up sports statistics and what better sport to follow? I have also been a fan since I was very young and I use to listen to the radio at night with headphones when I was too young to stay up and watch week day games.
Back in high school, I played mainly volleyball, badminton and rugby. I really enjoyed playing volleyball the most because of the high dependence on one another and how no matter good of a player you are, the team is nothing without a good bump, set and spike =).
My Favourite Athlete
Michael Jordan was the greatest of greatest and showed that with hard work and determination (and a little bit of talent) that you can achieve anything and redefine a sport. I take the sport mindset in many aspects of my life. The sport mindset that those who practice or work the hardest will get the results.
My Favourite Commercial
The reason why this is my favourite commercial is because it features someone I admired as I was growing up and it preaches the importance of failure. Failure is a beautiful thing but only if you learn from it. I have failed many times throughout my life and I look back on those moments as the key motivators to my success or I took advantage of another opportunity after failing.
My other hobbies are creative writing (mainly poems), learning new things (especially through youtube tutorials), playing chess and meeting people.
Also if people really know me, they know that I love to help people; I love to learn and I love to teach people. What sparks me to take on tasks that may seem difficult or do what others wouldn’t is my fear of finite time. I never want to live my life in regret so I challenge myself to get better every day
